Block & Grinder officially opened its doors on March 18th but we got a chance to check them out a few days before the grand opening. If you’re not up to date on the Charlotte dining scene no worries… heres the scoop. The Block & Grinder concept specializes in premium beef, all-natural and organic meats / wild game. Their goal is to create a “back to the basics” menu structured around fresh ingredients.

This week we celebrated our Three Year Anniversary by doing some ziplining and hiking in Asheville then finished the night by dining at the McNinch House in the Historic Fourth Ward section of Uptown Charlotte. For those who haven’t heard of it.. the McNinch House is a super fine dining restaurant located in one of the oldest houses in Charlotte, in fact… its even older than the Biltmore Estate.
We were greeted by the wine steward upon our arrival and given a brief tour and history lesson of the house.

What do you get when you put a funky restaurant in one of Charlotte’s hottest neighborhoods and fill it with the most random decorations and an ever changing menu… you get Krazy Fish.
In celebration of buying a new house we decided to head to one of our favorite restaurants, so this week we hit up Bonterra.

I recently checked out Cluck ‘N Cup in the SouthEnd area with my little brother and my dad and thought it was amazing!!! Only open for breakfast and lunch, Cluck ‘N Cup serves up Coffee, Chicken Pot Pies, Chicken Nachas, Chicken Wraps, Chicken etc… and from what I can tell its all worth checking out.
We told you guys about JJ’s Red Hots Opening on East Blvd a couple months ago… well now its July and they are almost ready to open their doors to the public. We got pre-grand opening access to Charlotte’s soon to be “Best place to get a hot dog” and were pretty impressed :)
