I have eaten at Penguin for years and I recently stopped in to see what changes, if any, could be noted since the regime change.
I started with the fried pickles, which were as always amazingly addictive but needed way more ranch than was provided. I got the billy goat burger with a side of potato salad for lunch and thought they were both fantastic. The potato salad was some of my favorite from anywhere I’ve eaten. The burger was phenomenal… especially the meat itself which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I topped of my lunch with some banana pudding which came out WAY bigger than expected. There was easily enough banana pudding in the container to feed a family of four.
We have also tried the fried macaroni bites on a separate trip and with a lil bit of ranch… they are scrumptious!
The current employees are doing a great job putting out amazing food, and on my trip, great service :)
