Original Pancake House – Southpark

We checked out the Original Pancake House in Southpark over the weekend and once again.. we we’re blown away :) We went on Saturday morning around 11ish (yes that’s still morning for us) and the wait was only five minutes which is pretty unusual for anybody familiar with the Southpark pancake maker. Once seated we were greeted by our waitress pretty quickly and despite it being almost lunchtime… we we’re craving some delicious breakfast food.

I got the chorizo omelette and Ella got the pumpkin pecan pancakes with over easy eggs, hashbrowns and bacon both of which came out quick and were freaking delicious! They served our breakfast with a a side of some sort of magical pink mystery sauce, syrup and butter. The magical pink mystery sauce was as addictive as it was mysterious and ended up on almost everything we ate.

Ellas pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The flavors of pumpkin and pecans were extactly what she was craving going into fall.

My omelette came with a side of three buttermilk pancakes of which I had fancied up with some apples and whipped cream :)

Ella also got some over easy eggs, three strips of crispy thick cut bacon and hashbrowns.

My omelette was a MONSTER.. easily the biggest I have ever been served and for future reference to those who haven’t been to the Original Pancake House, one omelette will easily feed two people. I ended up eating it for breakfast again on Sunday morning… then again on Monday morning :)

Aside from its enormous size.. it was actually a really good omelette.

The Original Pancake House rocks! Most days you might have to wait a few minutes to get in the door.. but we think its definitely worth the wait.
