Maria Bonita’s Cantina & Grill is the setting of our latest review. When you first walk in there is a huge staircase in the middle of the restaurant.. its a bit bigger than I think is needed but looks cool nonetheless. Before we went to Maria Bonita’s Cantina & Grill we had read the reviews online and it seemed that the common complaint was poor customer service… we didnt see that at all on our trip. Our waitress was quick to seat us… fill our drinks… bring the food.. everything was on point throughout the night.
We got the Maria Bonita’s Cantina & Grill signature dish and a plate of carne asada tacos. Both of which were delicious and would be easy recommendations. The signature dish came out with a plate of skirt steak, grilled pineapple, mixed veggies and of course… rice and beans. The plate was big enough to have leftovers for the next day and the only complaint we can say about any of the plates were that they were on average $2 – $3 more than the average Mexican restaurant.
The carne asada tacos were really good.. like pretty amazing. The grilled veggies and thin strips of skirt steak wrapped in corn tortillas was perfect. The flavors were strong and distinct and some of my favorite of anywhere we have been so far.
The bill for the night with two drinks, two entrees and the tip…. $40, which is a little higher than usual. Maria Bonita’s Cantina & Grill is good but not that good. The food was good but for $20 each… we were wishing we had gone somewhere else Like Pacos Tacos and Tequila.
