Started my easter sunday with breakfast at the Flying Biscuit Cafe. Im not usually awake early enough to even consider breakfast but today was the exception. I ordered the Egg-Ceptional Eggs which came with two large eggs over easy on black bean cakes topped with oven-roasted tomatillo salsa, feta cheese & sour cream served with a side of turkey bacon.
The eggs were cooked perfectly, the black bean cakes taste great but I had some issues with texture bc they reminded me of tofu ( I dont like tofu ). The tomatillo salsa with the feta cheese and sour cream over top was the perfect match for this unique dish. The turkey bacon tasted good but again for texture theres just no substitue for real bacon :)
Overall my breakfast was really good and I will definitly be going back to try something else on the menu
