Crepe Cellar Kitchen & Pub is located in NoDa which is home to amazing people, amazing artwork and amazing food! We’ve been to the Crepe Cellar Kitchen & Pub a few times before but this was the first time we have been and eaten something other than a dessert crepe.
We started out the night with the Pesto Brie French Fries which we’re named Charlotte Magazines “Best of the Best” for 2011. The fries are thinly cut and twice fried leaving them crispy, crunchy and utterly delicious. The only complaints we can note would be that the pesto was nearly unnoticeable and the brie was so scarce it might as well not even been there. I don’t know if we got a skimpy plate… or if its usually short on toppings… but next time we go we will definitely be getting the fries with extra brie and pesto.
Ella got the Queen City Crepe which came with roasted chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese and an oven roasted tomato dressing with a side of succotash. The crepe was amazingly delicious and if you closed your eyes you would swear you were on a French countryside eating a delicious breakfast crepe coupled with the most amazing succotash ever!
I got the Salciccia Pizza which had Italian sausage thinly sliced, caramelized onion shallots, marinara and mozzarella. I’m not the biggest sausage fan in the world but I loved this pizza. Loads of fresh flavor sitting atop a freshly made French baguette… couldn’t ask for anything better :)
We of course couldnt end our trip at the Crepe Cellar without getting our usual favorite… the mascarpone and berries crepe with Ice cream. This was our third trip to the Crepe Cellar and probably not our last. We love the neighborhood, the food, the people, the vibe… just everything that makes NoDa what it is.
