Chili Verde

Located next to the Harris Teeter at Plantation Market, Chili Verde is definitly a hole in the wall mexican restaurant. I ran in for a sec and ordered the carnitas to go bc I was on my way home and didnt feel like sitting around. They got my order together in about five minutes and I was on my way home.

Once home I opened up all of the packages sent home with me which included… chips, salsa, carnitas, refried beans, mexi rice, lettuce, guacomole, tomatos and tortillas. The chips and salsa were about average as well as the refried beans and mexican rice. The carnitas however were really good, they were properly made and well seasoned. The meat was moist, tender and fell apart easily.

My only regret was that since I brought it home, I ended up eating it about twenty minutes after it was prepared and I could only imagine how good it may have been when it was fresh. This is an easy recommendation for the carnitas if you’re around the plantation market area
